Syncrude Canada Ltd. believes in supporting educational endeavors of Alberta’s students.
Below you will find a wide variety of scholarships and awards supported by Syncrude Canada Ltd. Majority of the identified scholarships are processed and administered through the corresponding educational institution.
The only exception is the Rod Hyde Award that is currently administered through Syncrude’s Community Investment.

Keyano College:

Syncrude’s Ron Hyde Aboriginal Award:
Fort McKay School Principal Rod Hyde devoted over 30 years to the students and community of Fort McKay. Although he has retired from teaching, it is his desire to continue promoting education, and to encourage students to develop their full potential by way of higher education. In 2006, Syncrude Canada Ltd. announced the Rod Hyde Aboriginal Education Award, in honour of Rod’s commitment.
