Business Sense Is All In The Family

Business is in Heather Sorge’s blood. Her mom and dad are the owners and operators of Sorge Welding. “I came from a business-oriented family,” she says, “so it is just natural to keep up with that. It is familiar.” Heather has enrolled in the Aboriginal Transition Program at Keyano College, a key step on her journey to university. “I plan to complete the second-year business administration program at Keyano and then transfer to the University of Alberta business program to get an MBA.” It will be a challenging journey, but Heather plans to heed the advice she often gives to others: never give up no matter how hard it gets.
